Facial cosmetic surgeries

We offer a comprehensive range of facial cosmetic surgeries that can enhance your appearance. During your first consultation we will discuss your requirements and your key area/s of concern.

For face lift, neck lift and nose reshaping surgeries, your first consultation is slightly longer (45 – 60 mins). During this consultation, we take the time to discuss your requirements and explain details of the surgery.

Our range of facial cosmetic surgeries are provided to both men and women.

Overview

Blepharoplasty or eyelid surgery is a procedure that remove excess skin and fat from either upper or lower eyelids in order to restore them to a more youthful, less tired appearance. It involves tightening the skin around the eyelids and is often performed in combination with other procedures such as brow lifts and facelifts.

Your initial consultation

  • Length of initial consultation: 30 – 45 mins

Key facts about the operation

  • Length of surgery on the day: 1 – 2 hours
  • Anaesthesia: Local anaesthetic if performing upper eyelid surgery only or a short general anaesthetic for lower eyelid surgery
  • Length of stay in hospital: Day procedure (you go home the same day)
  • Discharged with tape to cover the suture line above or below the eyelids

Post surgery recovery

  • There is often bruising and swelling after eyelid surgery and this bruising can sometimes extend onto the whites of the eye. This can take 3 – 6 weeks before it settles; rest is recommended for at least the first 3 weeks. Your return to light duties can take place 10 – 14 days following surgery
  • First follow up appointment: 5 days after surgery
  • Sutures removed:  5 days after surgery
  • Paper tape to be used on the suture line for the first week after surgery

Referral required

  • If you have private medical insurance, part of the procedure may be covered.  If you wish to use this, you will need a referral from your GP or another appropriate medical practitioner.

Overview

Brow lift surgery is a procedure performed that elevates the eyebrows and softens the appearance of the forehead. It may be performed through use of a camera (endoscope) or through incisions hidden in the hairline. It can also be combined with eyelid surgery and can rejuvenate the upper face.

Your initial consultation

  • Length of initial consultation: 45 mins

Key facts about the operation

  • Length of surgery on the day: 60 – 90 mins
  • Anaesthesia: General anaesthetic
  • Length of stay in hospital: Day procedure (you go home the same day)
  • No dressings are required after this procedure

Post surgery recovery

  • Return to light work and use: Usually 1 week
  • First follow up appointment: 1 week after surgery
  • Sutures removed: 1 week after surgery

Overview

Facial aging is a three-dimensional process involving loss of skin elasticity, tissue descent, and structural volume changes.

Modern facial rejuvenation focuses on restoring these underlying foundational layers rather than simply pulling the surface tighter.

By repositioning soft tissues to their natural position, a facelift restores youthful contours, refines the lower face, and creates a refreshed, natural appearance without signs of surgical tension.

There are a number of techniques that can be used, and these will be tailored to best meet the requirements for each individual.

Your initial consultation

  • Length of your initial consultation: 45 – 60 mins

Key facts about the operation

  • Your first consultation is quite extensive; with time allowed to fully discuss your requirements and the intended surgery
  • Pre-surgical appointment: 1 week before surgery, 15 mins appointment
  • The surgery is undertaken at either Boulcott Hospital or Bowen Hospital

Post surgery recovery

  • Post surgery check-up: 1 week after the surgery, held at one of my clinics

Referral required

  • If you have private medical insurance and wish to claim through your insurance provider, you will need a referral from your GP or another appropriate medical practitioner.
  • Note:  Private health insurance generally covers illnesses, functional issues, and medical conditions not caused by an ‘accident’. Purely cosmetic procedures (undertaken solely to alter appearance) are not covered by health insurance.

Neck lift surgery

Overview

The neck and jawline define the lower framework of the face, yet they are often the first areas to demonstrate significant tissue laxity and loss of definition.

Facial aging in this region typically involves a combination of muscle separation, skin redundancy, and soft tissue descent below the chin.

Neck rejuvenation targets these deeper anatomical structures to re-establish a sharp, smooth jawline and restore structural balance between the face and neck.

A neck lift is often combined with a facelift to optimise rejuvenation of the lower face and neck as a whole.

Nose reshaping (rhinoplasty)

Overview

As the central feature of the face, the nose plays a critical role in overall facial balance and proportion.

Changes to nasal contour, whether from natural aging, structural genetics, or prior trauma, can subtly alter the visual harmony of surrounding facial features.

Rhinoplasty combines precise anatomical restructuring with functional preservation to achieve a natural, proportioned aesthetic that complements your broader facial structure.
